Adequate sleep is often overlooked as part of a weight loss program. Seven to eight hours of sleep should be a goal for everyone, whether they're trying to lose weight or not. When you're not getting proper rest, your body's energy is sapped. You're less productive, less likely to exercise, and more likely to feel hungry and overeat. This will hamper anything you're trying to accomplish, including losing weight. Eight hours of sleep will combat all of this. Set a regular time to go to bed and to wake up each day. You'll be shocked at the difference regular sleep makes in your motivation--and your weight loss!
